Die Cut EMI Shielding Fabric Tapes
Die cut EMI shielding fabric tapes have a woven or non-woven fabric backing and an acrylic conductive adhesive on one or both sides. These flexible, conformable, and lightweight tapes resist electromagnetic interference (EMI) and provide an alternative to die cut EMI shielding foil tapes. Die cut fabric tapes that are made of 3M™ metallized cloth also minimize the possibility of finger lacerations during assembly.

Silver-Coated and Gold-Coated Polyester Tapes
JBC can die cut 3M™ metallized cloth tapes that use silver-coated or gold-coated polyester fabric as the backing material. Both types of EMI shielding tapes have an acrylic conductive adhesive on one side and are 5.5 mils thick. Silver-coated polyester tape AG-0927 and gold-coated polyester tape AU-2190 also resist oxidation and provide mechanical strength.
Copper-Plated Polyester Tapes
Die cut copper-plated polyester tapes feature a woven ripstop fabric for resistance to ripping and tearing. The backing material is coated with an acrylic conductive adhesive on both sides. For example, X-7001 is a double-coated tape that’s used to bond two surfaces both physically and electrically. In addition to EMI shielding, this die cut EMI shielding fabric tape provides static charge draining and grounding.
Nickel on Copper-Plated Polyester Tapes
JBC also die cuts nickel on copper-plated polyester tapes. 3M™ fabric tape 2191FR meets UL 510 requirements for flame-retardancy. 3M™ fabric tape CN 3190 uses an electrically-conductive, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA). CN 3490 is a single-coated tape that provides static dissipation. CN 4490 is a double-coated tape that’s ideal for use a thin, conductive, and repositionable gasket material.
Special Order Copper-Nickel Fabric Tapes
JBC can also die cut EMI shielding tapes from 3M™ that are available only by special order. These copper-nickel fabric tapes are coated with an acrylic conductive adhesive on one or both sides. In addition to bonding and grounding, these EMI shielding fabric tapes provide static discharge draining. Tape thicknesses range from 2.4 mils to 5.5 mils. CEF-3T and CEF-3B tapes are available in grey or black.
