Aspen® Pyrogel® XT

A high-temperature insulation blanket formed of silica aerogel and reinforced with a non-woven, glass fiber batting that's ideal for insulating piping, vessels, tanks, and equipment at temperatures up to 1200°F (≈650°C). Also available with a factory-applied foil vapor barrier (Pyrogel® XTZ) for low to moderate temperature applications such as chilled water piping.

A non-woven, engineered high-temperature silica insulation mat composed of E-glass fibers and rated for continuous use at a maximum temperature of 450°C (842°F). An environmentally friendly, recyclable, and incombustible, alternative to insulation mats containing organic binders. Meets the requirements of DIN 4102 and is commonly used in fields such as filtration, automotive, HVAC and heavy industrial machinery. Available in 1 and 2-in (25 and 12-mm) thickness.

K-FLEX® DUCT® Liner - Gray

A gray NBR/PVC-based closed cell, flexible elastomeric foam thermal and acoustic insulation designed to reduce sound transmission and/or retard heat gain/loss and prevent condensation when used as an internal liner on ductwork or equipment. Recommended maximum operating temperature is 185°F. Available in thicknesses of ½-in (1.27-cm) up to 2-in (5.1-cm) and in densities of 10 & 15 lbs/ft3 (160 kg/m3).

K-FLEX® INSUL-SHEET®

An environmentally friendly NBR/PVC-based closed cell, flexible elastomeric black foam insulation available in flat sheet or roll form in thicknesses of 1/8” up to 2” (3.175 to 50.8 mm). Recommended for applications with service temperatures ranging from -297°F (-182°C) to +220°F (+104°C). Used to retard heat gain and prevent condensation or frost formation on below-ambient applications, including utility and industrial process equipment, tanks, vessels, ducts and large OD pipes.

Also available with factory applied pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing - INSUL-SHEET® PSA.

An environmentally-friendly CFC-free, flexible open cell sheet comprised of recycled, closed cell foam bonded together by a urethane adhesive. Effectively reduces sound reflection and transfer and is commonly used for acoustic damping, gasketing and thermal insulation. Available in thicknesses of ½-in (1.27-cm) up to 2-in (5.1-cm). Recommended maximum operating temperature is 185°F. Available in thicknesses of ½-in (1.27-cm) up to 2-in (5.1-cm) and in densities of 10 & 15 lbs/ft3 (160 kg/m3).

LEWCO Mat Insulation

A needled (non-woven) white insulation mat composed of 100% select grade Type “E” glass fibers rated for continuous use at a temperature of 1523°F (828°C). Processed to maximize thermal efficiency, it is non-respirable, incombustible, asbestos-free and contains no resinous or inorganic binders. Conforms to Mil-DTL-24244D(SH), Mil-I-16411, USCG Subpart 164.009, ASTM C1086, ASTM E84 industry standards and NRC 1.36.

Super Mat

A rugged, waterproof no-dust hydrophobic flexible blanket insulation constructed of type E fiberglass and impregnated with fluorocarbon resins. Extreme chemical resistance and suitable for use in temperatures up to 650°C (1200°F). Perfect for piping and equipment where insulation must remain dry. Available in thicknesses from 0.3 up to 1.0 in (8 to 25 mm) and in rolls up to 72 in (180 cm) wide.

Also available with a factory-applied 1-mm thick silicone top coat that acts as a weather barrier and, where suitable, an alternative to metal jacketing - Super Mat STC.

Lydall® LyTherm® 550-L

An easy-to-cut, lightweight utility paper processed from unwashed spun, high-purity alumina-silica fibers formed into a highly flexible sheet. Makes an excellent thermal and electrical insulator. Recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C) in applications where insulating efficiency is not critical.

Lydall® LyTherm® 970-L

A lightweight, commercial-grade paper composed of a refractory material processed from washed, spun, high purity alumina-silica fibers formed into a highly flexible sheet. It is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C). Also available in a binderless version (Lytherm® 970-LH) for use in applications where insulating efficiency and high strength are important and where off-gassing of organic binder cannot be tolerated.

Lydall® LyTherm® 1530-L

A lightweight, premium grade paper composed of a refractory material processed from highly washed, spun, high purity alumina-silica fibers formed into a flexible sheet. Formulated to minimize unfiberized particles, LyTherm 1530 paper offers an extremely low thermal conductivity and a dust-free surface. Recommended for continuous use at temperature up to 2300°F (1260°C) in applications requiring high strength, resiliency, and excellent thermal properties. Also available quilted with a durable textile cladding (LyTherm® 1530-GC) for use in applications where abrasion resistance is important.

Lydall® ManniGlas® 1200

A premium-grade, non-respirable glass fiber paper used as a low cost alternative to silicone and ceramic fiber gasketing materials in continuous operating temperatures up to 1200°F (640°C) without shrinkage. It excels in applications requiring superior thermal resistance where space is limited. Excellent die-cutting properties which allow for intricate shapes and narrow spans.

Morgan Advanced Materials Superwool® 406-E Paper

An intumescent material composed of a unique blend of Superwool® bulk fibers, special additives, and organic binders. At maximum expansion which occurs at approximately 1200°F (649°C), the paper expands up to 125% of its thickness making it an excellent candidate for high-temperature gaskets and seals, and fire protection applications. Available in rolls with thicknesses from 1/16 to 1/4 in (2 to 6 mm) and widths from 24 to 48 in (61 to 122 cm).

Morgan Advanced Materials Superwool® Plus/HT Blankets

Offer the same benefits as the other members of the Superwool® fiber family but with improved handling strength and enhanced thermal properties. In addition to enhanced thermal properties, large nuisance dust particles have also been effectively eliminated making the products soft to the touch and less irritating during use. Both exhibit outstanding insulating properties at elevated temperatures, have excellent thermal stability and retain their original soft fibrous structure up to their maximum continuous use temperatures:

Morgan Advanced Materials Superwool® Papers

Superwool® papers are made with Superwool bulk high-temperature insulation wool and organic binders specially processed to offer excellent performance in high-temperature applications. With their excellent dimensional stability, high refractoriness, ease of processing and resistance to chemical attack, they offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional insulating solutions. Typical applications include industrial and consumer appliances, automotive heat shielding and induction furnaces.

Nutec Supermag-HI™ Low-biopersistence Spun Blanket

Supermag is a high temperature body low bio-persistence fiber that utilizes a unique spinning technology to create a special fiber with superior thermal and mechanical properties. This fiber is made from a blend of calcium, silica and magnesium and can be exposed to temperatures up to 2192°F (1200°C). To form the blankets, the fiber is doubled needled into a blanket form and cut to standard widths of 24 and 48 inches (61 and 122 cm). Can be used in a variety of applications including refractory linings, thermal insulation, and fire protection.

Unifrax Fiberfrax® Ceramic Fiber Paper

White, non-woven ceramic fiber papers manufactured by forming alumino-silicate fibers into a non-woven matrix held in place with a latex binder system. These papers exhibit excellent chemical stability and are used to solve a wide range of heat-related challenges including fire protection, thermal insulation and high-temperature gasketing. Available in three grades differentiated by thickness, density, fiber index, and chemistry with a range of maximum operating temperatures from 1300°F to 2450°F (704°C to 1343°C).

Unifrax Insulfrax® Paper

A line of white, non-woven ceramic fiber papers manufactured by forming fibers based upon a calcium, magnesium, silicate (CMS) chemistry into a non-woven matrix held in place with a latex binder system. These papers are easy to wrap, shape and cut and exhibit excellent chemical stability. Used to solve a wide range of heat-related challenges including automotive and aerospace heat shielding and appliance gasketing. Recommended operating temperature range of 800°F to 2012°F (427°C to 1100°C). Available in a range of thicknesses from 1 to 6-mm (0.04 to 0.24-in).

Unifrax Insulfrax® S Blanket

A flexible, strong, lightweight, needled thermal insulation blanket constructed of mechanically needled spun Insulfrax® fibers eliminating the need for organic binders. Calcium, magnesium, silicate chemistry provides thermal insulation at continuous operating temperatures up to 2012°F (1100°C). Combines low thermal conductivity with excellent resistance to thermal shock. Ideal for use in residential and commercial appliances, hearth/chimney and metals processing. Available in a range of thicknesses from ½ to 2-in (12.7 to 25.4-mm) and in densities of 4, 6 and 8 lbs/ft3.

Available in a standard width of 39.4-in (100-cm), weight 0.41 lb/ft2 (2 kg/m2) and thickness of 0.49-in (12.5-mm).
